Hassan Mounajed, 30, of Fall River was indicted Thursday on charges of fraudulent use of EBT/SNAP cards in the Waltham convenience store he managed, the attorney general’s office said. Mounajed is facing charges that include procurement fraud, larceny by false pretenses, and access device fraud over $100. He was allegedly involved in a scheme to exchange Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits for cash by swiping a customer’s electronic benefit transfer card, entering fraudulent information, then furnishing cash for half the amount charged to the customer’s EBT account. The store would also profit from the transaction, the attorney general’s office said.
