To support breast-cancer research, a Norwood resident on Sunday is hosting a fund-raiser that uses a touch of spa-like pampering to draw people in. Vicki Hoyt, a breast-cancer survivor, will hold an “In The Pink” open house that offers complimentary mini-facials and hand treatments while featuring a variety of products from Mary Kay, a cosmetics company. Proceeds from the Oct. 14 event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 8 Elm St., go to the Mary Kay Foundation, which is dedicated to ending women’s cancers and domestic abuse. end of story marker
