Susan Kushner Resnick will discuss her new book, “You Saved Me, Too: What a Holocaust Survivor Taught Me about Living, Dying, Fighting, Loving, and Swearing in Yiddish,” at Temple Sinai in Sharon on Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. The book is the story of an extraordinary friendship between Resnick and Aron Lieb, from the time she met him in the lobby of a Jewish community center in 1996, when she was suffering from postpartum depression, until he died last year at age 91. It recounts his life before, during, and after the Holocaust, and what Resnick learned from him, including from her effort, as his health-care proxy, to give him a peaceful death. Resnick is a Sharon resident and journalist who teaches creative nonfiction at Brown University. ![]()
