Special Town Meeting on Oct. 1 approved several spending requests, but rejected a proposal to give the Conservation Commission custody of a town-owned parcel on the site of the former Plymouth County Hospital. On its second night, the meeting was not able to proceed due to lack of a quorum, and it was decided to adjourn rather than reconvene on another night. The sponsors of the remaining articles can resubmit their proposals at the annual Town Meeting next spring. Among the articles not taken up were proposed bylaws governing stormwater management and actions in the flood plain district, and a proposal to name the Hanson train station after Lieutenant David Colin Hall, a Hanson resident who was killed in action during the Vietnam War in 1967.
