Registration is still open for the annual Angel Run, set for Dec. 2. The 5K (3.1 mile) run/walk is expected to draw well over 1,000 people. Along the route that begins and ends at the Ralph Wheelock Elementary School, 17 Elm St., runners and walkers will have encouragement from carolers and be offered other festive treats. All participants are invited to a post-run party at the school. Organized by the Medfield Foundation this year, the event’s proceeds, including runner pledges and business and family sponsorships, will benefit local families in need. The Angel Run was conceived by friends of Natasha Domeshek, an 8-year-old from Medfield who died in 2002, as a tribute to the third-grader around her birthday. A record number of more than 50 runners registered at the Medfield Day booth in September, and organizers say runners from several area towns, including Medfield, have signed up. Online registration forms are available at www.medfieldfoundation.org. For an extra $50 donation, families or individuals can have their names printed on the back of the 2012 Angel Run long-sleeved T-shirt. In addition, families and businesses can sponsor the event at a range of levels. E-mail email@example.com or call 508-359-9147 for more information.
