The Woburn Friends of VNA Hospice Care, which provides services in Wilmington and dozens of other communities in and around Boston, raised a record-breaking $75,000 at their 15th annual Step Out for Hospice walk/run. The event was held Sept. 30 at the Woburn Irish-American Club and included a 1-mile fun run, 3-mile health walk, and 5-mile road race. The money raised will help VNA Hospice Care provide care to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses and loss, regardless of acuity or cost. Founded in 1979, VNA Hospice Care is one of the oldest hospices in New England, offering support 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For more information, visit www.vnahospicecare.org.
