Six Sharon artists will welcome the public to their studios Nov. 11 for Open Studios, an event sponsored by the Friends of the Sharon Public Library and the Sharon Creative Arts Association. Nancy Bass, treasurer of the friends’ group, said visitors should go the library to buy tickets and receive a map. She said the studios are located within about 3 miles of the center of town, but she declined to reveal the artists’ names in advance, saying she did not want them to receive calls from the public. Five are painters, and one is a stained-glass artist, she said. In addition, about 20 artists will have their work on display at the library, and the artwork will be for sale. Tickets cost $20, and the event runs from 1 to 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Visitors may also see the library display on the previous evening from 7:30 to 9 p.m., when the friends’ annual meeting takes place, she said.
