Returned from deployment to Iraq
► Army Specialist James “Jake” A. Eckersley (above), son of Nancy Eckersley of Sudbury and Dennis Eckersley of Ipswich, stepson of Jennifer Eckersley of Ipswich and brother of Allie and Mandee Eckersley. A 2009 graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, he is stationed at Fort Hood, Texas.
Returned from deployment to Afghanistan
► Army Specialist Christopher D. Raymond, son of the late Fred J. Raymond of Sudbury and Michele Raymond Dolitka of Newton, and stepson of the late David J. Dolitka of Newton. He is a 2003 graduate of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School. During his tour of duty, Raymond was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, and Afghanistan Campaign Medal. He is married to Alicia Obermeier Raymond of North Carolina, and is stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C.
From One Station Unit Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, Mo.:
► Army Private Scott J. Gledhill, son of Beth and James Gledhill of Hudson, and a 2006 graduate of Natick High School.
From basic training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.:
► Army Specialist Joseph D. Sheehan, son of Eileen Sheehan of Pembroke and Kevin Sheehan of Needham, and a 2004 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Kingston.
From basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio:
► Airman Kirsten E. Arends, daughter of Karen Arends of Natick, and niece of Brett Arends of Boston. She is a 2009 graduate of Randolph Macon Academy in Front Royal, Va.
