Uniforms, photographs, and other objects associated with Sharon veterans, from the Civil War through the Vietnam War, will be on display at the Sharon Historical Society museum throughout November, according to past president Shirley Schofield. The museum does not have more recent military items, and welcomes donations of old or new objects, she said. The display is open during the museum’s regular hours, Thursdays from 3 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m., or by appointment. For an appointment, call Schofield at 781-784-3275. This Thursday, from 10 a.m. to noon, the society will host an event called Sharing Sharon Memories. Residents ar invited to bring and discuss old photographs of the town. Coffee will be served. All are welcome, especially newcomers to Sharon; visitors need not be members of the historical society. Both events take place at 16 High St., and admission is free.
