On Friday, 50 seniors at Blue Hills Regional Technical School in Canton will be awarded the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship for scoring in the top 25 percent in their district on the MCAS exam. Twenty-three are Randolph residents, and there are 196 students in the class of 2013. According to the list of scholarship recipients provided by the school, the engineering technology program had the highest number of Adams Scholars. Eight engineering students, from a class of 11, won the scholarship. Of the eight, four are from Randolph, including Vincent Burton, who has been making headlines for his prowess on the football field. Adams Scholars will receive four years of free tuition at any Massachusetts state college or university.
