Sharon High School students are selling Thanksgiving pies as part of Pie in the Sky, a project of Boston-based Community Servings, which provides home-delivered meals to critically ill individuals and their caregivers in Massachusetts. Recipients include people with HIV/AIDS, cancer, kidney disease, and other life-threatening illnesses. The pies, offered in apple, pecan, pumpkin, and sweet potato, cost $25 each — enough for Community Servings’ donors and volunteers to prepare and deliver a week of meals to a sick person. Restaurants, bakeries, caterers, and hotels donate their time and resources to make the pies. The deadline for orders through Sharon High School is this Thursday. To order, call Julia Sheehy, coordinator of the project for the high school, at 781-784-9550. Pie pickup takes place Nov. 20 from 5 to 9 p.m. and Nov. 21 from noon to 4 p.m. at 52 Oak Hill Drive in Sharon, she said. Orders can also be placed at www.pieinthesky.org.
