The city is holding its annual Veterans Day ceremony Sunday at 10 a.m. in the Connolly Center, 90 Chelsea St. Members of the veterans’ community and other residents are invited to take part in the free event. Coffee and doughnuts will be served prior to the ceremony, and a full pasta dinner will follow it. Meanwhile, the city’s second annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner will be held on Nov. 21 from 6-10 p.m. at the Connolly Center. The event is jointly sponsored by the office of Mayor Carlo DeMaria Jr., Mass Badge, and the Zion Church Ministries in Everett. Mass Badge is an organization of Massachusetts local and State Police officers that promotes events involving the police community that benefit charitable causes. The dinner is free but those planning to attend are encouraged to preregister.
