The town has several events planned Monday in commemoration of Veterans Day. Residents are encouraged to attend the salutes and memorial services. Two town residents will be serving as grand marshals, World War II Air Force veteran James Zographos and Marine veteran William Carr. VFW Post 9013 will host a gathering for participants at 9 a.m. The first ceremony will be at 9:30 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, where the town will present wreaths and an honor guard will fire three volleys of rifle fire, followed by the Westborough High School band’s playing of taps. The second stop, about 9:50 a.m., will be at the Vietnam Memorial on Ruggles Street, followed by a ceremony at the Forbes Municipal Building around 10:10 a.m. Services will conclude at the World War I, World War II, Korean War, and Gulf War memorials, and then participants and veterans will be invited to march to the Westborough Rotary Club services at 11 a.m. Visit www.town.westborough.ma.us for more information.
