The city’s winter parking rules are in effect. Each year, Malden’s parking rules change at the start of winter to deal with snow and ice on the city’s streets. With feedback from the public, city leaders redesigned the winter parking flier, making it easier for residents to understand where they can and cannot park between Nov. 1 and April 1. In general, parking is only allowed on the even-numbered side of the street during winter. However, parking on the odd side of the street is allowed on streets that always require parking on that side. During a snow emergency, no parking is allowed on either side of certain city streets. For a complete list of those streets, and more detailed information regarding the winter parking rules and exceptions, view the new flier at http://ow.ly/eYnKV.
