Selectmen have decided not to put funding for new athletic fields before voters in March. Plans has initially called for new recreation fields and a bathroom facility off Towle Farm Road on 14 acres of farmland that the town purchased in the 1990s for recreation and conservation. But selectmen removed proposed funding for the million-dollar project from the town warrant because a 16-year-old engineering plan for the site needs to be updated.
