Author to discuss New England’s stone walls

New Hampshire writer, teacher, and stone-wall builder Kevin Gardner, author of “The Granite Kiss: Traditions and Techniques of Building New England Stone Walls,” will speak at the Hopkinton Public Library on Nov. 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Gardner will discuss the history, styles, and techniques of building stone walls in New England, and why the region came to have thousands of miles of the structures. Gardner will answer questions and copies of his book will be available for purchase; his book can also be checked out from the library.
