Selectmen will suspend the liquor license of Bar Louie Tavern & Grill at 232 Patriot Place from Nov. 25 to 29, after the establishment admitted selling alcohol to a minor in a Sept. 27 compliance check. It was the bar’s second offense within the past three years and came during a police operation using a teenager to buy beer. For a similar offense, Showcase Live, at 23 Patriot Place, agreed to cut off its liquor sales an hour early for one day and withdraw a request to stay open an hour later on New Year’s Eve. At a selectmen’s meeting, officials at both establishments agreed to fire the employee who sold the drinks, retrain staff, and not to appeal the penalty to the state Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission. Cases against CBS Scene Restaurant and Blue Fin Lounge at Patriot Place, Waxy O’Connors, and the Foxborough Mandarin will be presented Tuesday.
