The Boston Boy Choir, composed of students from the Boston Archdiocesan Choir School in Cambridge, will perform Dec. 1 in a concert to benefit Sowing Seeds, a nonprofit that provides assistance to Marshfield residents in need. Kristin Dewey, president of the Friends of Sowing Seeds, said the group is bringing in the choir in an effort to do something different from its usual winter fund-raiser, which was a fashion show. Dubbed “The Saint Nicholas Concert,” the evening begins with hors d’oeuvres, raffles, and a cash bar at 6 p.m., followed by the concert from about 7 to 8 p.m., and afterward, dessert and announcement of raffle winners. Most of the food has been donated by Roche Bros. Supermarkets, she said. The concert takes place at the Cushing Center in Norwell. Tickets are $50. For information, e-mail friendsofsowingseeds@verizon.net  or call 781-834-8807.   end of story marker
