Joanne Patton was one of eight people named by The North Shore Chamber of Commerce as 2012 North Shore Distinguished Leaders. The names of the honorees were released Nov. 8 and will be recognized at the chamber’s 94th annual dinner meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Danversport Yacht Club in Danvers. This is the second year for the award, which will also be given to Carlton Berry of C.P. Berry Homes, retiring state Senator Frederick E. Berry, Henry and Donna Bertolon of Beverly, Tim Collins of Ebsco Publishing in Ipswich, Robert Lappin of Shetland Park in Salem, and Richard Wylie, president of Endicott College in Beverly. Earlier this year, Patton donated her family homestead, Green Meadows Farm, to the town of Hamilton. end of story marker
