City officials have wasted little time reacting to voter approval of medical marijuana use in the Nov. 6 election. On Monday, the Board of Aldermen and the Planning Board will hold a joint public hearing to update the city’s zoning code to ban medical marijuana treatment centers. A definition for the centers must be added, and a new category for them established under the “retail, commercial, service” heading. The hearing will be held at 8 p.m. in the aldermen’s chamber at City Hall.
