The city’s winter farmers market kicks off its second season on Sunday. The indoor market will be open every other Sunday through May 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Spence Farm on Wyman Street. The winter market is in addition to the outdoor farmers market that the city operates at Spence Farm from June through October. Housed inside a farm building, the winter market offers fresh produce, including lettuce and tomatoes grown in local greenhouses and winter squash and pumpkins. It will offer fresh fish and grass-fed beef, foods prepared with local ingredients, and handmade crafts. Each week, 12 to 20 vendors will be selling their goods, according to Paul Medeiros, chairman of the Woburn Agricultural Commission. For more information, go to woburnfarmersmarket.com.
