It’s not yet built, but the town’s new Senior Center has moved. “All we did is just change the site,” which originally was to be at Albion Court, said John Rogers, chairman of the Senior Center Building Committee. The new site is 1.6 acres on Plain Street, next to the Rail Trail. The zoning and planning boards have approved transfer of the land, which was owned by the Park Department. The $3 million project calls for a one-story, 9,000-square-foot senior center. Rogers said the new site offers more parking. Bids should go out in early December, with the foundation in place in early March. “We could be in this building for Christmas 2013,” Rogers said.end of story marker
