SWANSEA, Mass. (AP) — Authorities are trying to figure out who killed a 51-year-old woman found dead inside her home in Swansea.
Police responding to a 911 call found Lisa Mello dead inside her Ocean Grove Avenue home on Saturday morning.
Gregg Miliote, a spokesman for Bristol County District Attorney Samuel Sutter, says Mello was likely a victim of a homicide.
There was no immediate word on suspects or arrests.
State police crime scene experts are currently searching for clues and leads at the home.
The state medical examiner’s office will conduct an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of death.
Authorities declined to release additional information, saying the investigation is in early stages.
