BOSTON (AP) — Boston police say they have arrested a suspect in the sexual assault and robbery of a woman during a home invasion at her Beacon Hill apartment earlier this month.

Police said Tuesday that 45-year-old Anthony Williams of Boston is expected to be arraigned Wednesday at Boston Municipal Court on charges of rape and receiving stolen property.

Police said the woman called police at about 3 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, to report that an armed man forced his way into her apartment near Joy and Myrtle Streets, robbed and sexually assaulted her.

The Suffolk District Attorney’s office said Williams also has pending cases charging him with assault and battery and failure to register as a sex offender related to a 1998 Essex County rape conviction.

It’s not immediately known who is representing Williams.end of story marker
