At its most recent meeting, the Board of Selectmen established the property tax rates for the current fiscal year. The new tax rate increases by 4.06 percent the tax bill for a home with the town’s average assessment, $366,412, and raises the tax bill by 5.79 percent for the average commercial property, valued at $491,000. Town Administrator Keith Bergman said the board decided against adopting any residential or small business exemptions.
