News about members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard in our communities.

Noted

u Air Force Major Peter S. Reddan, director of operations and assigned to the 437th Operations Squadron at Joint Base Charleston, S.C., wrote a song, “Off to War,” that has been recorded and released by country music performer Brad Anderson. The song was inspired by the pilot’s experiences while deployed, as well as the experiences of the men and women with whom he serves. Joe Morris, a longtime friend and former member of the Army Special Forces, now road manager for country music recording artist Darryl Worley, mentored Reddan during the copyrighting process and helped him get his foot in the door to country music. Reddan is the son of Elise Reddan of Florida and grandson of Barbara Roche of Marshfield. His wife, Kate, is the daughter of Jim Henderson of Hanover. Reddan is a 1991 graduate of Marshfield High School.

Graduated

u Airman Jerica D. Washington, daughter of Frederick Washington Jr. of Brockton, and a 2009 graduate of Brockton High School, from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.
