WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — A champion arm wrestler from Douglas is scheduled to go on trial this week in connection with the death of his wife.
Allen Stilkey is charged with manslaughter in connection with the February death of 44-year-old Lisa Stilkey, who died after jumping from a second-floor window of their home during what authorities called a violent argument.
The Telegram & Gazette (http://bit.ly/SrLhcZ ) reports the trial is scheduled to start Tuesday in Worcester Superior Court.
Prosecutors say 41-year-old Allen Stilkey, a former national arm wrestling champion, threatened to kill her before her jump. They also say he took out a $250,000 life insurance policy on his wife weeks before her death.
Allen Stilkey’s lawyer has questioned some evidence in the case and says his client is not responsible for his wife’s death.
