New zoning regulations for property along the Bike to the Sea path in Malden will be considered by the city's officials this week. Also known as the Northern Strand Community Trail, the Bike to the Sea Path is a planned 10-mile trail from Everett and Malden to Lynn along the old Saugus Branch Railroad bed. A 3.1-mile stretch of the path in Malden opened Dec. 1. Proposed regulations and requirements for properties along the path will be reviewed at a joint meeting of the Planning Board and City Council Wednesday  at 7 p.m. at Malden Government Center.
