Brookline offering passport to fitness

The town is bringing back its campaign to help residents avoid hanging onto weight gained over the holidays. The Brookline Passport to Health and Fitness program, which last year was joined by more than 250 people, provides residents age 18 and older with access to 10 workout sessions at participating gyms and fitness centers, including classes in martial arts, Pilates, and yoga, between Jan. 1 and April 30. The $10 passports, which are being offered in conjunction with a local environmental initiative, Brookline Climate Week, are available through the town’s Recreation Department and online at www.brooklinerec.com.
