A few Scituate residents have expanded their production of “The Forever Present” for this holiday season, offering the free show at the G.A.R. Hall on Country Way. According to playwright Lin Haire-Sargeant, for the second annual event, the play will be more elaborate, with several characters added and the songs tweaked a bit. The play focuses on a grandmother who makes a wish that her two granddaughters will be safe forever. When Santa overhears, he and the elves have to figure out how they can make it happen. For Haire-Sargeant, it’s exciting to know that a story she created with her granddaughters will be fully brought to life, and she hopes the musical will become an annual tradition for the town. “Excitement is high. We think it’s going to be a funny and good performance,” she said. Doors open on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Optional donation goes to benefit the Friends of the Holly Hill Farm. To reserve tickets or for more information, call 781 545-2883.   end of story marker
