Elizabeth Warren’s heritage
The Democratic candidate for US Senate was in the crosshairs earlier this year when it emerged she told officials at Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania that she had Native American heritage. The former Harvard Law School professor endured much criticism before acknowledging in late May that she had told university officials she was Native American. She would go on to defeat incumbent Senator Scott Brown.
