SALEM, Mass. (AP) — State environmental officials are announcing grants for seven Massachusetts communities to improve parks and recreation facilities.
State Energy and Environmental Secretary Rick Sullivan is awarding the grants on Wednesday at Salem City Hall.
The communities getting the funding also include Boston, Brookline, Chelsea, Lynn, Marblehead and Somerville.
The grants are awarded through the Patrick Administration’s Parkland Acquisitions and Renovations for Communities program (PARC).
