Romney gets firm hold on nomination
Speaking after he swept the five April 24 Republican primaries, candidate Mitt Romney sounded like the man who had secured the GOP nomination, even if it wasn’t formalized. “After 43 primaries and caucuses, many long days and more than a few long nights, I can say with confidence – and gratitude – that you have given me a great honor and solemn responsibility,” he said.
