A personal-safety training course for young women is being brought to town Friday and Saturday. The program, “Empower the Girls We Love: Personal Safety Training 101,” was arranged by local mothers in response to the Elizabeth Marriott case. Lizzi Marriott, a Westborough resident and University of New Hampshire student, is missing and presumed dead, and a New Hampshire man has been charged with second-degree murder. The program, run by SAM Training LLC, is a three-hour course designed to provide women of any age with confidence-building practical skills to help them avoid dangerous situations and reduce their risk of becoming a victim. It will be offered in six sessions, from 9 a.m. to noon, 1 to 4 p.m., and 5 to 8 p.m. on both days, at the Tatnuck Bookseller  shop on Lyman Street.
