NORWELL, Mass. (AP) — Three teenage boys have been rescued after spending hours trapped in an eastern Massachusetts swamp.

The father of one of the teens tells WBZ-TV (http://cbsloc.al/UHai6C) that the boys headed to the swamp in Norwell late Tuesday afternoon, saying they were going for a walk. Marc Holler says he went looking for the teens when they didn’t return.

He tells the station that he had almost given up searching when he heard a cry for help. Rescuers aided by a police air wing located the boys and pulled them out of the waist-high water.

Holler says rescuers say the teens might have hypothermia or frostbite.
