The Milton Master Plan Committee want to hear residents’ views on the town’s future, during a forum on Jan. 26 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Tucker Elementary School. Residents, business owners, and others are being encourged to participate in an effort to create a Master Plan that will lay out ideas for possible development, zoning changes, and other initiatives to steer the town’s growth. “We’re not looking to direct [the public], we’re looking for direction from them,” Planning Director Bill Clark said. One initiative to be discussed is a potential Housing Production Plan, which would mark out areas where affordable housing could be built and possibly stave off unwanted 40B developments. The forum will be the first of three before spring Town Meeting, at which the Master Plan Committee will ask for funding for the Master Plan.
