Local officials have announced the annual town election will be held on April 9, while the spring Town Meeting is set to convene at 7:30 p.m. April 30 in the Memorial Building’s Nevins Hall. The date was pushed back to avoid conflict with the Jewish holiday of Passover, officials said. Residents wishing to submit articles for the Town Meeting warrant have until noon on Feb. 20. The proposals can be e-mailed to cmanuel@framinghamma.gov, and must include the complete wording of the article, a proposed motion, and comprehensive background on the subject. Anyone wishing to have the Board of Selectmen sponsor an article must talk to board members before March 5. Presentations on the proposed articles will be heard by the board during its meetings on March 5 and March 12, when selectmen are scheduled to finalize the warrant. The official agenda for Town Meeting will be posted online later in the month.
