The field is set for the Massachusetts casino competition.
A total of 11 firms submitted initial applications to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission before a Tuesday deadline.
One of the last to file was Crossroads Massachusetts, which is pursuing a casino in Milford. The group will be competing for the eastern Massachusetts resort casino license with Suffolk Downs in Boston and Steve Wynn, who has proposed a casino for Everett.
MGM Springfield, Penn National Gaming, Hard Rock and Mohegan Sun are vying for the western Massachusetts license.
Plainridge Racecourse and Raynham Park are seeking the sole license to operate a slots parlor.
Two other companies, PPE Casino Resorts and Mass Gaming and Entertainment also submitted applications Tuesday but neither has chosen a location yet.
The commission also received four requests for waivers from the deadline, including one from the city of Chicopee.
