What: 18th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Dinner & Potluck

Where: First Congregational Church, 121 West Foster St., Melrose

Date: Jan. 21

Speaker: Gordon Martin Jr., retired judge and former Justice Department lawyer who worked on voting rights cases in the 1960s

Time: Dinner at 5 p.m.; family program from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Bring: Main dish or dessert, with ingredients identified, to serve four to six people
