SALEM, Mass. (AP) — A reputed Massachusetts mob boss has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to drug trafficking charges.
Mark Rossetti of Boston was sentenced Tuesday in Salem Superior Court after pleading guilty to charges of trafficking in heroin and conspiracy to traffic heroin.
The 53-year-old Rossetti is already serving a seven to nine-year state sentence on a conviction of breaking and entering.
In October 2010, Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett, Attorney General Martha Coakley announced the indictment of 31 people connected to a highly organized criminal enterprise that operated throughout eastern Massachusetts allegedly under Rossetti’s direction.
