The town will go out to bid again for repair work at the Marion Natural History Museum, which was damaged last July when a chunk of its ceiling collapsed and damaged the interior. The town had approved a bid from Dimitros C. Contracting in Canton for the work, at a cost of $34,700, but due to a miscommunication, the cost of replacing carpeting had not been included, said Town Administrator Paul F. Dawson. A new document should be ready for selectmen to consider at their meeting Tuesday, Dawson said, and, if approved, go out to bid. The cost of the repair project should be between $40,000 and $45,000, Dawson said, and is covered by the town’s insurance.
