Walpole building study recommends major projects

The public is welcome to comment on the recommendations of the Walpole Municipal Facilities Master Planning Study at the Board of Selectmen meeting on Feb. 26. Among the recommended projects:

$5 million for a 15,000-square-foot Senior Center on Washington Street, across from the Department of Public Works.

$8.7 million for a police station, adjacent to the Senior Center.  

$11.7 million for the central fire station, to include offices in a renovated Old Town Hall and a new attached building for fire equipment.

$3.5 million for renovations, addition, and site upgrades to DPW site.

$48.9 million for a combined Middle School, replacing two current middle schools.
