Boys’ volleyball saves its season

The Wareham High School boys’ varsity volleyball squad will be able to compete this spring after all, according to high school athletic director Steve Rumbolt. The team has been working hard to raise money to save the program after it was cut from the school budget. So far, the Vikings have raised $3,200, and volleyball coach Ben Kaeterle has offered to volunteer his time throughout the season. Kaeterle said the team is thankful to everyone who has donated to their cause. “The kids are pretty pumped about the season,” said Kaeterle. The team is expected to play 14 to 16 games, beginning in March.
