BOSTON (AP) — The MBTA has partially restored bus and subway service and hopes to have everything up and running for the start of the work week.

Full or limited service resumed at 2 p.m. on Sunday on the Green, Orange, Blue and Red Lines. The T shut down all service Friday afternoon.

Eighteen bus lines are also running, some on a limited basis.

MBTA General Manager Beverly Scott says she expects the system to be fully operational for the Monday morning rush hour, including commuter rail.

But she also cautions that the T still faces challenges resulting from the blizzard that left more than two feet of snow in the Boston area, and delays are likely to occur.end of story marker
