Natick man pleads guilty to plowing drunk
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (AP) — A Natick man has pleaded guilty to being drunk while operating a snow plow during the recent blizzard.
John Douglas Wright pleaded guilty Monday to charges including operating under the influence.
He was pulled over in Wayland at about 8 p.m. Friday after a driver reported that he had almost been struck by Wright’s pickup truck.
Police say the 49-year-old Wright had a plastic water bottle with about an inch of vodka in it and told officers he had drank ‘‘a lot.’’ Police say his blood alcohol content was more than three times to legal limit to drive in Massachusetts.
The MetroWest Daily News (http://bit.ly/14PTYU4 ) reports that Wright was sentenced to a year of probation, lost his license for 45 days, ordered not to drink alcohol, and fined $785.
