Mayor Arthur Vigeant told city councilors on Monday that he may move to expand Marlborough’s senior tax work-off program later this year, citing the success of the program so far. Under the program, senior citizens can volunteer to do 125 hours of volunteer work for the city, which results in a $1,000 savings on their property tax bills. The city adopted the program in the fall, and 25 seniors are currently participating.
