MASHPEE, Mass. (AP) — State wildlife officials are hosting a walk in Mashpee to talk about habitat management work focused on conserving New England cottontail rabbits.
Scientists also will discuss how recent human land use history in the pine barrens contributed to declines in cottontail rabbits and other native wildlife.
Participants should meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve to carpool to the walking site.
