Martine Pressat, who beat retired psychiatrist John Weil to death in his apartment in Westwood’s Fox Hill Village in December 1997, has been denied parole, according Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey. Weil was 77, frail, and had Parkinson’s disease. Pressat was one of several home health aides employed to assist Weil and his ailing wife. After discovering that Pressat was writing unauthorized checks from their account, Weil confronted Pressat, and she killed him shortly afterward, Morrissey said. The jury found Pressat guilty of murder in the second degree in 2000. The Parole Board heard Pressat’s petition Oct. 16, 2012, and denied it Feb. 19.
