Burger King’s corporate headquarters has dealt with a Somerville franchisee that failed to shovel its sidewalk after the Feb. 8-9 snowstorm. The blocked sidewalk led Alderwoman Maryann Heuston to call for a boycott of the restaurant at 185 Somerville Ave . In an e-mail, Burger King spokesman Bryson Thornton said the issue had been addressed internally. “This is a franchise-owned and operated Burger King restaurant,” he said. “We have worked with the franchisee to resolve the current situation and hope to prevent future occurrences.” The Somerville Burger King received multiple citations from the city after the storm.end of story marker
