An April 30 town election now has two first-time candidates joining the race to fill two seats on the Board of Selectmen. Local lawyers Tami Dristiliaris and Gilbert Nason have filed nomination papers, bringing the field of candidates to five. Also on the ballot will be fellow challenger Tony Archinski and incumbents Cathy Richardson and George Malliaros. Dristiliaris, a lawyer, registered nurse, and adjunct professor of nursing at Middlesex Community College, said she hopes to better manage and expedite the town’s search for a new town manager to replace Dennis Piendak when he retires in November. Nason, a lawyer and lifelong Dracut resident, said he aims to address divisive partisan politics and expand the town’s commercial tax base.
